On Tuesday 11 April, Sara Taddei, our Marketing and Communication Manager, gave a presentation about our company at the LIUC - Università Cattaneo. She spoke to the students on the Strategic Management course, in their final year of a 3-year Business Economics degree, about DoveVivo’s case history and the success we have enjoyed in recent years. Her audience was made up of students from all around the world, from Italy to the USA, from Europe to China.
Here are her initial reactions after spending two hours at the University with the students and Professor Massimo Solbiati:
"Like always in these situations, the students look me up and down, unsure whether to listen to me or just let their minds wander... so I started my speech, and after a while I noticed some heads looking up, some eyes looking at me... the story struck a chord! That’s the great strength of DoveVivo. Its big idea, if you like, is its simplicity... its approach is "make it simple", which everyone can get on-board with, everyone likes it and is convinced by it".
DoveVivo’s story has often been used by Professor Solbiati as an example of a success built on solid entrepreneurial foundations. During the theory session, he detailed the key elements of the approach and the steps that every entrepreneur should aim to accomplish. For these students, the story of DoveVivo offers a promising view of the future.
"The story of two young guys with an idea and plenty of enthusiasm, who started out whitewashing their first few apartments and ten years later find themselves managing over 500... it’s fairy-tale stuff.... and it is wonderful to see the glimmer of ambition and enthusiasm in the eyes of these students whose future is yet to be written.”
To end with, Sara made a proposal: "we are looking for new members to join our team, if anyone wants to give it a go and have a look first-hand at what it’s like to work together for a shared goal, DoveVivo can be an ideal training ground!"
Returning back to the office, she concluded...
"I thought there was an excellent atmosphere with impressive levels of interest and curiosity... perhaps one of DoveVivo’s future stars may have even been in that very lecture theatre!"
Keep in touch guys!
